Intel kicks it up a notch with Nipendo

When someone kicks it up a notch, you think about going at warp speed or running a marathon instead of a 5K.

Intel has kicked it up a notch with Nipendo. They have utilized this software solution to enable a vast majority of their suppliers in the procure-to-pay process.

This week we are featuring the case study of Intel and the benefits they derived from adding Nipendo to their software suite. They had a solution that got them quite a way along with the larger suppliers. However the Nipendo solution allows them to take the rest of the supplier tail through the automation process.

Prior to Nipendo, Intel Israel had its own procurement and AP transactional infrastructure – much of which was largely offline. Suppliers would send invoices via the postal service (hard copy) and invoices would then be keyed in and reviewed – and payment would be made…

Does that sound familiar to you? Intel has used the Nipendo solution to allow them to take the suppliers – even those in the ‘tail’ to automation. At this point, over 80% of transactions are enabled electronically.

What is your organization doing to simplify and automate the procure to pay process? What have you learned and what benefits have you seen?
