The Point by Buyers Meeting Point
Recommended Procurement Webinars Feb 19-23: Supply Chain Visibility, Global Risk Review, Improving Business Spend Management
In addition to the virtual procurement and supply chain events taking place this week, ProcureCon Indirect East is running in Amelia Island, FL from the 20th through the 22nd. If you are interested in a ‘long shot’ webinar worth considering, I recommend “De-risking the international back-office during an acquisition” from SIG and TMF Group being offered on March 22nd at 1pm ET. Click on the title of each recommended webinar below to view the full description and register.
BTW: If you haven’t already, sign up for our mailing list to be sure you get my weekly recommendations in your Inbox each Monday.
February 21st at 1pm ET
While the description for this event includes very little information, there is no doubt in my mind that if any organization is qualified to speak on the topic without an introduction, it is Supply Chain Insights. Their hands on work with clients and supply chain metrics speaks for itself, and we do know that three different companies will speak about their definition of visibility – which is always a reason to attend.
February 20th at 1pm ET and 22nd at 9am ET
BSI has been doing an annual study and report on global supply chain risk for seven years now, and the list of topics they will cover in this webinar (and the report release that follows it) is extensive. They promise to highlight risks associated with India, North Korea, the US/Puerto Rico, Mexico, Brazil, South America, Turkey, the Philippines, Asia, Europe, and Latin America – not to mention the boundary-less challenge of international cybercrime.
February 23rd at 12n ET
Improving spend management isn’t an unexpected or unique topic – unless you consider the intended audience for this webinar. There is no mention of procurement in the event title or description, so this puts finance squarely in what we would consider ‘our’ territory. In this webinar, Coupa will share the results of their annual spend management benchmark report with finance, focusing on savings, efficiency, digitization, and compliance.
