New Report Download: Business Performance Benchmark Study 2017

In these turbulent times we all need a view into the future. And no one function – sales, marketing, procurement, operations, IT, etc. – can do it alone.

In the final months of 2016, Buyers Meeting Point partnered with Altify and IDD Consult and to run the Business Performance Benchmark Study. Thank you to everyone who participated. This study explored strategic considerations for 2017, and the results – now available as a comprehensive whitepaper – will better inform procurement’s outlook and shape our thoughts for the new year.

Some of the highlights of the 2017 Business Performance Benchmark Study include:

Positive outlook: Just as we have seen in the last few months of the ISM-New York Report on Business, optimism is high for 2017. 87% of executives, managers and individuals expect business to perform better in 2017 over 2016.

Customer Retention: The #1 Strategic Imperative for 2017 is Customer Retention. #2 is Revenue Growth. For procurement teams working to become more customer-centric, this may require small but critical adjustments to our top-line focus activities.

Trusted Intelligence: 53% of buyers look to their peers in other companies for advice when buying a product or service. Each of us should look into our network to identify who our influencers are as well as which peers and companies we might influence.
