Blog Pick of the Week - Hurricane Irene and more

What happens when somethings disrupts your supply chain?


This past week has brought hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes to the east coast of the United States. I happen to live in that region and it has caused a lot of concern and disruption in travel and business. It hit over the summer weekend when many weddings are planned. Obviosuly that caused much concern for caterer's, hotels, and event planners for sure! Certainly a supply chain nightmare all at once.

Based on that, I really enjoyed reading the "Strategic Sourceror's Blog" on Thursday called The Earthquake, The Hurricane and The Supply Chain. Of course the best advice is to prepare before the event takes place. There are other good thoughts here and it is definitely worth the few minutes for you to review.
