The Point by Buyers Meeting Point
Recommended Procurement Webinars Oct 26-30: 25 Years of Innovation, Advocating for Equity, Analytics for Risk Management
The events schedule seems to be picking back up this week, with 9 events taking place. I’ve also started filling up the November page, which promises to be busy since there is effectively one less week of work in it. Marketing teams are racing to schedule the last few events of the year before it slips away, and we all benefit from that!
If you are planning your procurement webinar schedule beyond this week, I recommend “7 Key Technologies for future Strategic Sourcing Success” from Kodiak Rating on November 19th.
BTW: If you haven’t already, sign up for our mailing list to be sure you get my weekly recommendations in your inbox each Monday.

I have to date myself in order to say it, but I’ve personally experienced almost all of the ’25 years of innovation’ promised in this event’s title. I have a feeling that if we were to be presented with the common visual user experience from 20 years ago, we’d all laugh – and yet… beyond that, how much has really changed? I’m looking forward to finding out. Join JAGGAER CEO Jim Bureau, Gartner Sr Director Analyst Patrick Connaughton, Managing Director of Deloitte Brent Griffith, and Pradip Khemani, Senior Director, Global Business Services of Blue Shield of CA, for a walk down memory lane and maybe a peek forward into the future.

This webinar is part of the Supply Chain Now series where they facilitate the sometimes-difficult conversations that must be had in order for things to change. In this discussion, Elba Pareja-Gallagher, CSCP, UPS Director of Finance, US Domestic Product Performance, Ania Caruso, CPCU, Vice President - Risk Management - Growth & Business Development at The Plexus Groupe will join Scott Luton and Greg White to share lessons learned in post George Floyd corporate America.
October 30th, 10am ET
This webinar is the last segment of a 3-part series presented by Procurement Leaders and a number of co-presenters. The focus of the event is on leveraging analytics to minimize risk, and while most of us are probably pretty ‘maxed out’ on risk right now, this is actually the perfect time to capture and systematize what we’ve learned over the last 7 months so that it can be an asset to us in the future. Presented by: Caroline Dillon, Senior Conference Producer at Procurement Leaders, Robert Grimes, Head of SAP Ariba Financial Partnerships, EMEA at SAP Ariba, Anna Porra, Commercial Strategy Director at Barclaycard, and Niko Nurmi, Senior Research Analyst at Procurement Leaders.
