Well, believe it or not, this is the final set of weekly webinar recommendations of 2019. We listed 239 webinars on the calendar, which – if there would be 1 per day – would cover 65% of the days of the year, and 92% of the weekdays. As of right now, I believe my first recommendations of 2020 will be released on Monday, January 13th

If you are planning your webinar schedule further ahead, you have to look at 2020… I recommend “Collaborating & Innovating with Suppliers – 3 Steps that Make it Succeed” from ProPurchaser on Thursday, January 16th at 11am ET.

BTW: If you haven’t already, sign up for our mailing list to be sure you get my weekly recommendations in your Inbox each Monday.

Reimagining Procurement with a Strategic Lens (HBR, Coupa)

December 16th, 12n ET

I’ve personally registered for this webinar, partly because I want to hear how a broad, recognized business resource like the Harvard Business Review covers procurement. Obviously, some of the content will be shaped by Coupa, but the main presenter will be Caperton Flood, the head of Bain & Company’s global procurement practice. He will address how procurement is operationalizing complexity and companies are differentiating their operational capabilities.

The Human Side of Digital Transformation: 3 Metrics for Success (Tradeshift, SharedServicesLink)

December 17th, 1pm ET

Most of procurement’s transformation efforts are digital, and they involve the data and technologies that allow us to automate our processes and enable distributed buyers to efficiently access the goods and services they need. In this webinar, Susie West, CEO and Founder of sharedserviceslink, Ron Volpe, Global VP Apps Business Development at Tradeshift, and David Gaw, Senior Performance Consultant at Abreon, will take a walk on the human side of transformation. But don’t think they’re going to be all fluffy about it; the heart of the speakers’ focus will be on 3 key metrics that must be tracked for digital transformation to be a success.

Self-Sourcing + AI: Get the Hiring Edge (Ardent Partners, Workforce Logiq)

December 19th, 1pm ET

Self-sourcing is the ‘must have toy’ this holiday season. Usually, though, when we talk about self-sourcing it has to do with creating an Amazon-ish experience in a company so that (within reason) distributed buyers can find and get what they need. In this event, however, there’s a bit of a twist: the focus is on recruiting for contingent workforce and full time talent. Oh, and they’ll also talk about how to apply AI to the challenge. That’s always a crowd pleaser.
