Sept 12-16: Agility, Blockchain, and Order-to-Cash

AdobeStock_blockchain2022

After a break for the Labor Day holiday, procurement and supply chain events are back with a vengeance! This is the time of year when we start counting the weeks left to have an impact – and the fall conference season is picking up as well. On September 21st, I’ll be at the riskmethods SCRM Summit in Boston, MA, so if you’re attending, be sure to come say hello!

If you are planning your virtual procurement event schedule beyond this week, I recommend ‘Could the Great Resignation Lead to BETTER Procurement Talent?’ from Art of Procurement and Corcentric on September 20th.

And now for this week’s recommendations…

Improving business continuity with agile Procurement (Procurement Leaders & Coupa)

September 13, 10am ET

Procurement seems to have a hand in most high-profile corporate initiatives these days. Everything from diversity to sustainability to risk management. But in order to make maximum impact in any of these areas, we’ll need to work more collaboratively and cross-functionally than ever before. Join Wouter Passtoors, Manager of E-Sourcing & Market Intelligence at CRH, for best practices that go beyond day-to-day process management.

Better Business Outcomes with Blockchain: Digital Document Provenance (Supply Chain Now & Total Network Services)

September 13, 12n ET

Remember Blockchain? It was all the rage in procurement before the pandemic hit… While we may not have been talking about, blockchain’s capabilities and applications have continued to mature an expand. Join Total Network Services (TNS) Senior Vice President Kevin Jackson, Deal Box Head of Product Jonathan Alvarado, and NssX CEO Jamieson Slough as they discuss how blockchain is redefining claims management and private equity investments.

Is Order-to-Cash Being Left Behind? (HighRadius, SharedServicesLink)

September 14, 10am ET

In procurement, we have source-to-pay (S2P) and procure-to-pay (P2P). At the same time, our colleagues in AP and Finance have order-to-cash (O2C). Guess what: their “O” is our “P” and given the number of AP and procurement teams who should be working closely together to bolster the cash situation of the company, the O2C process is important to understand. Join JB Bernicke, Management Consulting Senior Principal at Accenture, and Sam Dhingra, VP Digital Transformation and Business Development at HighRadius, for more!
