At ProMat 2017 in Chicago, the Material Handling Institute (MHI) released The Material Handling & Logistics US Roadmap 2.0. The Roadmap is the result of a comprehensive, seven-month study of what supply chains will look like by the year 2030.
This study involved more than 200 supply chain industry thought leaders. Steve Hopper was one of the co-authors of the final report, which covers four fundamental aspects of the supply chain industry: technology, the consumer, the workforce, and logistics infrastructure.
In this webinar, Steve will present a summary of the study’s findings and offer specific recommendations on how supply chain-dependent businesses can prepare to meet the significant challenges they will face on the road to 2030.
Stephen "Steve" Hopper, PE, is Founder and Principal with Inviscid Consulting, is a supply chain professional with extensive experience planning and streamlining warehousing, logistics, and distribution operations. Steve has solved supply chain problems for numerous clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 corporations. He helps his clients drive down operating costs, boost capacity, improve customer service, reduce risk, implement effective supply chain solutions, and enhance the performance of their supply chain resources: people, processes, inventory, facilities, equipment, material handling systems, transportation assets, and supply chain information technology (IT). Over more than three decades, Steve has held positions at several leading companies in the supply chain industry, including Kurt Salmon (now part of Accenture), RedPrairie (now part of JDA), Retek (now part of Oracle), and the logistics consulting unit of Deloitte. Steve earned a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering (BIE) degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).
