Phil Lee is a partner in Fieldfisher's Privacy, Security and Information team, and founded Fieldfisher's Silicon Valley office in 2012. Phil is now based in the UK, advising clients on both sides of the Atlantic on European data protection issues – including information governance, data exports, product compliance, security incident management, and regulatory outreach. Phil has been recognized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Fellow of Information Privacy and serves as a member of its Privacy Faculty, helping to develop and teach the Certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe) program. Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Phil gained a degree in Computer Science from Cambridge University and spent time working in IT.
Yuli Takatsuki is a Director in Fieldfisher's Privacy, Security and Information team, based in Los Angeles. Her practice involves advising US technology companies – from start-ups to household names – on how to comply with EU data protection and privacy law. She is a dual-qualified UK barrister and Californian attorney. Yuli advises tech companies on the roll-out of GDPR, complex global data transfer issues, product privacy compliance, behavioral advertising, cookies, e-marketing and the development of disruptive and innovative technologies. She regularly writes articles and speaks at industry events on these topics.
Andrew Gutierrez, CFCM, leads the Contracts and Compliance Team at Science Exchange. He works closely with clients to streamline their end-to-end sourcing process, which has led to a savings of at least 25% across the board. Andrew's expertise in compliance enabled him to lead Science Exchange in obtaining EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework certification, SOC 2 certification, and ISO 9001 certification. These certifications ensure data privacy and security for Science Exchange clients, many of whom represent multinational biopharmaceutical companies.
