This week starts multiple weeks of ProcureCon events – in Toronto this week and in Orlando the week after that. Follow @ProcureCon on Twitter if you’re interested in the goings on. From a virtual standpoint, there are two worthwhile events taking place – see why I think so below. Delivering Cyber Security and Trust-as-a-Service (HfS Research)
February 18, 11am EST
Continuing their series of as-a-Service events, HfS Research sets their sights on trust, specifically in the context of cyber security. There have been so many examples of hacking in the news that it is impossible to deny that this is a high priority for any company – B2B or B2C – conducting business via eCommerce. Complicating matters further are the constantly changing but always increasing regulatory requirements put in place with good intentions but mixed results in today’s complex global business environment. In this event, the HfS team will address the market for Managed Security Services, “uncovering both the risks and the opportunities that enterprises face as they partner with service providers to morph cyber security from a way to lock down assets to a means to leverage secure assets for greater business outcomes.”
Should We Build Relationships or Manage Them? - Part II (IACCM)
February 18, 11am EST
In the same timeslot, IACCM takes on some of the critical execution topics related to supplier relationships. Key to the message of the webinar is the idea that we need to spend at least as much time working to create value and stave off problems AFTER the contract is signed as we do putting the agreement in place. Focusing on managing relationships assumes that they already exist – which they may or may not. Learning to build relationships with new and existing suppliers improves our standing as a customer and raises the bar on the results we can hope to deliver.
