Business continuity goes beyond making sure you have your own plans in place. If you’re a shop owner and you’ve been flooded then there’s no point in having a BC plan that allows you to operate from another facility when you’ve got nothing to sell because your supplier was flooded too. Supply chains are becoming ever more complex and it is easy to lose track of them. The 2013 Supply Chain Resilience Report showed that 75% of respondents suffered at least one disruption during the last year and that 42% of disruptions occurred below the tier one supplier. It is no longer enough to ensure that you have your own BC plan in place, it is vital to ensure that everyone within your supply chain has one in place also. In this webinar, Nick Wildgoose and Hasan Karim of Zurich Insurance Group, the sponsor of the Supply chain Resilience report, will take you through what it means to have a resilient supply chain.
