Supplier performance management is a topic that is getting a lot of “air time” in procurement offices, supplier management organizations, and even the C-suite. The problem is that if you ask 10 people to define supplier performance management, you could get as many different descriptions as you have respondents.

This webcast will explore two prevailing schools of thought regarding supplier performance management. One philosophy is to focus on the metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), or service level agreement (SLA) spelled out in a contract with the supplier. The other approach takes a more holistic point of view, and considers multiple dimensions such as financial viability, service delivery, customer satisfaction, and innovation to develop a “balanced scorecard” of the supplier’s relationship with the customer.

In this presentation, you will learn some of the defining characteristics of each approach, see examples of typical scorecard metrics, consider the use of performance data to manage supplier relationships, and explore best practices associated with supplier performance management.
