Going on its sixth year, the Northeast Supply Chain Management Summit has brought together executives, business owners, supply chain experts and professionals for in-depth conversations related to best practices, innovative technology trends, and the rules and regulations affecting the supply chain. Held at the Chaffee Center for International Business at Bryant University, one of New England’s top business schools, SCM Summit participants are able to engage, listen, learn and interact with some of the sharpest minds in business, who are shaping and building the supply chains of tomorrow.

The Supply Chain Management Summit also provides an exclusive question and answer period so that participants can get the answers that they want to know. This program also qualifies for 6.0 Continuing Educational Hours (CEH) for Re/Certification to ISM for Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) or Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.)

The Northeast Supply Chain Management Summit was established in 2008 when Banneker Industries, in partnership with the John H. Chafee Center for International Business, Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, Rhode Island Manufacturing Extension Service, and Institute for Supply Management (IMS) - Greater Rhode Island set out to educate businesses in Rhode Island about how the Supply Chain affected their specific industries.

Over the years, the Summit has grown and matured into a northeast regional event focusing on a new burgeoning supply chain theme each year.

In year one, we introduced the audience to Supply Chain Management Using the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) Model. Then in year two, our theme was “Risky Business to Rewarding Results” where we focused on identifying and creating contingency plans to mitigate risks within the supply chain. Still in the grips of a global recession, in year three we provided our audience with the tools to grow their business and reduce costs by “Leveraging Supply Chains to Maximize Results”. Year four, as the economy was in the beginning stages of an upswing, the 2011 SCMS focused on teaching our audience about “The NEW Dynamic Business Basics”; it was not business as usual anymore, the same rules didn’t apply. The theme for the 2012 SCM Summit, "From My Supply Chain To Yours: A Global Perspective", will presented an intimate look into the supply chains of industry experts, while we learned new ways to perform best practices within your industry today.
