As the pandemic swept the globe, the disruption to supply chains was sudden and dramatic. These disruptions have highlighted the critical roles that strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management play in organizational agility and enterprise resilience.
A new Harvard Business Review Analytic Services survey of global business executives found that virtually all (95%) report some pandemic-related disruption to their company’s strategic sourcing and supplier management processes. As a result, the majority (60%) are accelerating plans to update and automate these processes.
On December 8, in a live, interactive video webinar, procurement experts Brian Peters (Gilead) and Adam Andolina (KeyBank) will join HBR Analytic Services’ Alex Clemente to review the results of this research. They will discuss:
- The forces already reshaping procurement before the pandemic
- Procurement weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and risks the pandemic exposed
- How procurement leaders are learning and preparing for future disruptions
- Steps procurement leaders are taking to create more agile, resilient organizations
- The importance of using technology to automate strategic sourcing and supplier management processes
As the landscape continues to shift, business leaders have the opportunity to proactively increase enterprise agility and leverage the right tools and technology. On December 8, join Brian Peters, Adam Andolina, Alex Clemente, and HBR Analytic Services to explore how to better manage procurement risk in this rapidly changing world.
