The business, geopolitical and social-economic phase we are living through has been called the ‘polycrisis' – a time in which multiple global events have become entwined with each other, with the resulting complexity far greater than the sum of individual events themselves. Put simply, one event feeds another, which can have unpredictable knock effects for other global systems, which in turn feed into other systems, and so on. The result is a dizzying melting pot of critical issues to manage – from scarcity to inflation, to energy crises, geopolitical posturing and war.
Across the course of this year we have explored a variety of topics to help ensure procurement leaders are best prepared to mitigate future disruption from phenomena such as the Polycrisis.
We have discussed the approaches being deployed by CPO’s in their talent strategy to succeed during the Polycrisis, how to manage ever-changing risk profiles & priorities with strategic and digitalised category management at the core as well as looking at new approaches that are needed for direct sourcing.
This webinar will be a year in review, discussing the actions that procurement leaders have taken to best deal with the Polycrisis. We will however look forward to the positive implications that the opportunities in volatility have provided procurement leaders to generate new ideas for supplier management, digital transformation, talent & strategic functional development, best equipping them for future crises.
