With the first (annual?) Procurement Revolution under our belts, Phil Ideson and I have spent the last few days looking back on everything that was shared, asked, and exchanged.
By all measures, the Procurement Revolution was an unmitigated success. Over the course of 5 days, 40 Revolutionaries delivered 5 live webinars and over 50 unique pieces of audio, video, and written content. We were able to cover a wide range of topics, including competitive advantage, globalization, autonomous cars, and digital commerce. Each piece was created as something fresh and new – shared just because it could be rather than because it was commissioned or promotional. The resulting Twitter discussion, using the hashtag #ProcureRev, created over 1.7 MILLION impressions.
As a way of pulling together a summary of the week’s best calls to action, we’ve put together a document that lists the 44 Must-Ask Questions for Procurement Revolutionaries. Click here to download it.
When I was reading over the list again last night, something struck me. One of the most important questions from the week is the one that was never asked. Not one single person asked us, “What should I talk about?”
40 professionals from procurement and elsewhere came together to share their thoughts and ideas, and not a single one had trouble coming up with something insightful to say. The outpouring of enthusiasm and creativity we received made this a one-of-a-kind movement for the procurement profession and by the procurement profession. The take away here is to share any and all ideas you have – the resulting exchanges will be more rewarding than you realize.
But where do we go from here? Revolutions never really end – and this one is no exception. All of the content us still up on the Revolution website so you can enjoy it on demand at your convenience. Be sure to ENLIST so that you can also access all of our BONUS content – including the presentation slides and key Revolutionary questions and be the first to know our plans for the future.
The most important thing is that we don’t allow the conversation to stop, and that we don’t wait for another event to set aside the time to be creative and expressive. Thank you for being part of an amazing week of engagement – thank you for Standing up, Speaking out, and Driving Change.
