Best Procurement and Supply Chain Webinars 3/14-18
This week combines virtual and in person events. Monday through Thursday is #ProcureTech2016 hosted by Spend Matters. If you’re there, go see BuyerQuest at booth #13 and enter to win a copy of Procurement at a Crossroads. I’ll be serving as the virtual facilitator for ISM-New York’s annual meeting on Wednesday. If you’re looking for something a bit more virtual… we have you covered there, too. Click on the title of each event below to view the full description in our events calendar and to connect to their registration pages.
Cost Control in a Volatile Global Economy (S&DCE, SAP Ariba)
March 16th, 1pm EST
Here’s what I like about the idea of this event – it is focused on costs rather than prices. As it says in the event description, “Currency fluctuations, retaliatory tariffs, antidumping and countervailing duties, geopolitical risk, and dramatic swings in energy, fuel and freight costs are among those that can derail the financial plan of any organization.” The only question this leaves is who, other than SAP Ariba’s Padmini Ranganathan, Vice President of Products and Innovation, they are planning on having in the discussion panel for the webinar. We’ll just have to wait and see.
March 17th, 10am EST
The Manufacturing Executive Institute has run this event topic before and received positive feedback about how easy it is to implement and measure the benefit from their suggestions on cost management. In this webinar, they will address how great plant managers prepare for and conduct variance review meetings, what information they bring to the meetings, and share ideas for engaging all participants in these meetings.
March 17th, 1pm EST
Procurement leaders are often tasked with dealing with the effects of forces outside of their control. In this webinar, Ardent Partners will talk about the impact of market demand, corporate expansion, M&A activity, solution integration, and altered data sources.
